WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!
If you’d like to learn more about my novel, or who I am, please click the tabs above: Synopsis, Preview, About the Author, Meet the “real” Bayly and Book Club Questions. However, if you haven’t read the novel yet, you may want to postpone reading Book Club Questions as the questions give away too much of the story.
I would love to hear from you; please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
Cheers, Karen Higgins
I am so pleased that my local paper, The Valley Voice, printed such a wonderful article about my novel. Thank you to the author, Barb Oshanski! Here is Barb’s article.
A New Author in our Midst!
Many of you know Karen Higgins as an active, involved member of our community, but you may not be aware that she is now a published author!
Her first book, A Child of God is a powerful, fiction based novel about a period of time that many of us in Horseshoe can relate to. Set in the late sixties, the novel explores a generation that embraced change in many ways—music, free spirit and adventure.
Karen poignantly explores the cults that evolved amongst the peace and love generation, and masterfully creates a novel that is thought provoking and endearing.
She has two grown children and lives inHorseshoeValley(God’s Country) with her husband, Stu and their puppy, Harry.
Karen’s novel, A Child of God is available internationally through amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, chapters.indigo.ca, iuniverse.com, as well as many other online bookstores. Karen will personally donate $5.00 towards the Horseshoe Valley Memorial Park Project for every book purchased directly through her up until December 31, 2011. Karen previously donated money from pre-orders of her book to Hospice Simcoe, the recipient of The Ladies of the Night Golf Fundraiser for 2011.
It’s a great read!
